Admitted in 1984 as a candidate for the combined Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, and chose not to complete the engineering half — which is why the electrical and drafting subjects sit alongside the computer science below. High Distinctions in all three years of computer science, and in first year physics and chemistry.

- University Medal, 1988.
- University Postgraduate Research Award, 1988, upon graduation.
- E. Trenchard Miller Memorial Scholarship, 1984–87. It terminated when I transferred off the combined Engineering/Science degree into Honours.
Subjects
Sydney set its first and second year science subjects at several levels, so the “(Distinction)” and “(Advanced)” in a subject’s name is the level of the course taken, not a result. The result is the second column.
