Sony kindly invited me to attend the Sony Alpha Awards 2018. The event was held at The Venue, Sydney Corporate Park, Alexandria.
I started taking photos in high school using my father's Yashica rangefinder. I had a series of Pentax SLR bodies and a variety of lenses. With digital photography, I bought a Kodak DC220 in 1999 and currently uses a variety of brands including Sony (α9, α7r, α6500, NEX-F3, NEX-5N, RX100MkIV, HS50V), Leica (M10), Panasonic (GX9), Nikon 1 (J5, V3, V2, J1) and Pentax (K-01).
Okay, so I bought a Sony A9 because I couldn’t resist. I am totes blaming it on Sony X and their March Madness sale. Anyway, here are some photos taken on the first outing with it, and the FE85mm/f1.8 lens which I have not used before. The photos are taken around Sydney Rocks area, including Cumberland St, Foundation Park, Playfair St and Wynyard.
I joined a Photowalk organised by Digidirect tied to the Canon #30daysofleap event and spent an evening at Cronulla using a Canon 80D camera, Please enjoy the following images. I have associated each image with a LEAP brief.
