In the morning, we visited Floriade. This is the first year since the COVID-190 pandemic that the festival is back at the Commonwealth Park. Although the flower display is smaller than pre-COVID years, it was still very enjoyable. The highlight was meeting a group of Vietnamese ladies all dressed identically in yellow kaftans. They took me in as a long lost sister and we took a number of group photos together.

After that we walked to Canberra Centre to have a Vietnamese lunch at Ms Ba Cô. After that we wandered around Canberra Centre to do some shopping at stopped by at Via Dolce for afternoon tea and desserts.

In the afternoon we visited the National Museum of Australia for the Connection exhibition. This is a multi sensory experience featuring Songlines from Australia’s First Peoples - a journey through Indigenous art and culture.
