Our first road trip to regional NSW since lockdown. Stopping by at Gumnut Patisserie at Berrima for pie and sausage rolls. Magpie was keen to join us for lunch.

Historic Berrima

I love this gate made out of tree branches, it’s vaguely Tolkienesque …

We love rural churches. There’s something magnificent about a building standing surrounded by bush. This is the Holy Trinity Anglican at Berrima

St Francis Xavier Catholic Church at Berrima.

On the Berrima river walk. This area housed German POWs during WWI, and they built many interesting houses on the riverbank that are reminiscent of famous places in Germany but sadly these wooden structures are long gone.

Heady scent of wildflowers on the Berrima river walk

Berrima court house, but it looks vaguely Roman.
