I joined a Photowalk organised by Digidirect tied to the Canon #30daysofleap event and spent an evening at Cronulla using a Canon 80D camera, Please enjoy the following images. I have associated each image with a LEAP brief.
LEAP is a 30 day photography challenge that’s designed to help photographers of all levels stretch their creativity. For each day for the month of September there will be a new brief, and a new chance to create an image that’s unlike anything you’ve shot before.
LEAP isn’t a competition. The only competition you’ll have in LEAP is with yourself. LEAP isn’t about how good your image is compared to someone else’s. It’s about experimenting, stretching your imagination and challenging yourself.
I have responded to the first 9 days of Canon Australia’s #30daysofleap, but with an additional challenge I set for myself. All the photos to be taken within an hour at a single location (Shelly Beach Cronulla) using a Canon 80D and 18-135mm lens borrowed from Canon at the digiDIRECT.com.au Canon Beach and Sunset Walk. Most of these photos result from me struggling with the camera – it’s been years since I used a DSLR and after getting used to Sony and Leica the user interface can only be described as bizarre and confusing.
