The Four Noble Truths.
The basic teaching of the four noble truths (dukkham samudayo nirodho magga
) can be expressed as a medical diagnosis (The Dawn of Abhidharma p. 113):
- disease: duḥkha

- health: nirvāṇa
- cure: eightfold path
